I take b.c. pills because I have pcos and my periods were extremely irregular and heavy. I have been on them for ~8 years. I have my period every 28 days and it's light since being on the pill.How long after you stop taking birth control pills does your period become more irregular?
After stopping the pill it can take up to 3 months for it to go back to its previous pattern of being irregular (an example only).
I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
