Nowadays people want things to more simplified, easy to use and at the ';click of a button';.


This could be termed as ';automatic';. And Automation is a hot topic of research in this era.


Controlling home security system like doors windows etc, making an applicane turn off/on automatically like when the time is 8.00 pm the room heater turns on and it turns off at 11.00 pm. And that could be set using ur mobile phone.Suppose you leave your home in a hurry and then you dont forget whether you turned on the Electric Stove or not you can do it using GPRS on ur mobile phone or internet or even sms.


There are hell lotta things we can do using technology but basically software part is what we need to focus more on.How can technology be used to simplify the control of homes of the future?
Technology developed by engineers, particularly computer engineers, can be used to control certain aspects of a house, which could make our lives easier. For example, I read about a Ph.D. research project where a student wired his house up to his computer, and he was able to make the house do just about anything with the click of a button (turn appliances on and off, open doors, etc.). This type of technology could simplify our lives, or just make us lazy I guess! It would be pretty neat though!


Personally, I think it would be nice if people could monitor their homes while they were away, with cameras inside and outside. Also, it would be nice if people could open windows or turn up the heat or air-conditioning on their way home from work. There are so many possibilities! Best wishes!
