Yes, they work. They are effective immediately if you start on the first day of your period, and after a week if you start any other time. Don't listen to the people that say 2-3 months. If you read the information that comes with the pill, it will tell you exactly what I just did. And that is straight from the people who make the pills. Who would know better than them? Just be sure you take them about the same time every day. You should not have unprotected sex until you finish the first pack.
No, it takes about 2-3 months for them to fully start working. So until then, make sure you use protection. : )
