I'm not sure why you asked about pollution and immigration in the same question but, ironically, the answer is the same for both. As long as the benefits of a situation are greater than the problems of a situation, the situation will continue to exist.
People like the things that cause the pollution (eg cars, boats, convenience items such as paper from fast food.)
People complain about illegal workers but still buy the products they produce because they are cheaper.When will the government ever get the illegal immigrant problem under control in Florida?
it seems to me ,the government is not longer interest in that matter.
since the massive deportation of illegal aliens, the stock market is going down.
