What is harder? To lie to keep control on others, or to be honest to free them?

It really depends on your fear level. Manipulation of others is something that requires a lot of work %26amp; finesse. Yet, many try out of fear of being seen, being judged, or mostly of seeing themselves. In a way, most of us are using a lot of energy to manipulate the perception others have of us, mistakenly believing we are what others see. At first, honesty seems harder because it scares us, but in the end we don't only free them, we free ourselves.

It is much harder to be honest.





This is an interesting question because it would seem that it is easier to lie - not to keep control on others, but to keep control over our self.





When we are truthful we set our self free, not others. It is harder to be honest because honesty causes a lot of personal conflict that some would just as soon not be involved with.





It is easy to tell a lie in order to go along with the group. It is difficult to be honest and stand out from the crowd.What is harder? To lie to keep control on others, or to be honest to free them?
Observing the current political situations of the world today, one must say that it is obviously easier to lie to others so as to control them (even though this would also mean lying to ones self at the same time) rather than telling th truth and allowing others to be free.





Sadly, all too many persons seem to live within a web of lies which distorts their actions and thought, blinds them to the true nature of reality and the self and leads them to feel isolated, alone and separate from all others.





One must hope that all sentient beings will do day attain enlightenment.
For 100% Honest, loosing everything means setting itself free.





For 100% Lier, loosing everything means loosing control and purpose to live on.





Hard are both ways, so 99% people choose to have 50/50 honesty and lies as it makes life much easier and simple.100% Honest or a Lier, you loose everything you have.
It would be the detials of circumstances that would dictate the level of difficulty I would assign.


That is to say that either case would be different if we explored a variety of vairables so that to state one or the other is harder would not be accurate and consitent with what I have experienced in my life at least.


Therefor the best I can offer is





It depends.
To lie to keep control on others because if you tell a lie you need tell another lie and another lie to cover it up.


If you continue you may find yourself in a dilemma at the end.


Moreover, if they het suspicious and find out your lying they may start disrespecting you.


So i think it is better to be honest rather than get stuct in a ordeal.
Honesty is much, much harder, because, generally speaking people would rather hear a pleasing lie than an unpleasant but honest truth. I've been spat at by people for laying the truth at their feet so I have become cautious about its use. So don't lie to control others (why would you want to?) and be selective about how honest you are with people. They don't always appreciate it. And at the end of the day it is not your job to 'free' people from the responsibility of their own decisions. We all own our decisions. It's called free will. On that point, this is just my opinion so you are free to take it on-board or discard it. That's your choice. Cheers.
To lie is easy, because liars have no faith, hence no fear of God.


To be honest is difficult, because this requires lots of learning and practicing in order to stand against all opposition, suspicion and damage. However, nothing valuable can be got easily, because this is what God has made to test His servants.

Weight in which has the greater consequence... there should be 60% - 40% gain... also think which of this action will have more impact to your conscience --- the lying or the honest? Let's also remember you can't please everybody....
None of us can control others.


Manipulaters always win in the short turn but always lose in the long run.


Easier to tell the truth I think
Difficult to lie, and maintain the lie! Honesty is freedom -- from a kind of difficulty!
Both can be difficult. But some people cannot be freed and live in a world of lies. Other will not be enslaved because they are enlightened.
To be honest and get persecuted.
