How effective is birth control the day after your period?

I've been on Loestrin24 for a month now. Yesterday was the day after my period...My question is, is my birth control less effective or not effective the first day of starting a new pack?

Hope you get what I'm trying to say, thanksssssHow effective is birth control the day after your period?
If you are taking it as indicated in the instructions, and you're being very regular about it, it will protect you every day of the month.

It should be fully effective all through your cycle. How effective is birth control the day after your period?
Ree, your level of protection does change a little with your body and the days of your cycle, but not like it does if your not on the pill.

So to answer your question, about 1% difference in a few days, is all you would find.

If your questions it, feel free to use a condom as a second level of protection, as your only about 95 to 98% at any time with just the pills.
when you first start birth control it makes your period act weird for a few months.. but over time your period goes back to the normal flowing but you'll be spotting for a while and you most likely wont bleed like normal.. but it takes time and the first day isn't as affective at first.. but it will be very soon.

i hope i helped!
8 days from monthly period is safe. its called calendar method. it is proven and tested and being used widely as one way of family planning.
