On a dishwasher, does the Interface and Electronic Control need to be replaced at the same time?

Our dishwasher just stopped working (like it had no power). We had a repairman out and he replaced the electronic control, but that did not work. He said it was probably the interface. He later called and said that he used the wrong electronic control earlier and that he can come back and give us the correct electronic control and that we really should replace the interface at the same time? Is this true?On a dishwasher, does the Interface and Electronic Control need to be replaced at the same time?
no because they are compltly controlled and connect the same way, you can get one from like 3 years ago and it would still work. hes just trying screw youOn a dishwasher, does the Interface and Electronic Control need to be replaced at the same time?
Well all I can tell you that is on Star Trek Captain Janeway always orders Kim to reverse the polarity of fusion inductors when there is some sort of emergency.

Try that.
There is a thermal fuse clipped to the control board that could be the problem. Once it blows, the d/w goes dead. Be sure he checks it before replacing any other parts.

If the thermal fuse is good, the board is probably the problem, the interface is probably good. If it was bad, some cycles should still work, but not all of them.
Depends on the DW. What's the model number?
